Some features in Dragon Metrics are limited in usage to an amount represented by different types of credits. Each Dragon Metrics account comes with a certain number of credits for each feature, based on the account type that was purchased. You can check your account usage in the Account Details page.
Keyword Credits determine the number of keywords that can be tracked in an account. They represent the number of search engine results Dragon Metrics must collect. Keyword Credits affect the number of keywords tracked in Site Rankings, Keyword Rankings, Competitor Discovery, Competitor Discovery Trend, Site Ranking Comparison, Keyword Ranking Comparison and Organic Landing Page.
Each keyword and search engine combination in a keyword group costs 1 credit. For example, tracking 10 keywords in google.com, google.co.uk, and baidu.com will cost 30 keyword credits (10 keywords * 3 search engines = 30 keyword credits)
Keyword Credits are only used when a keyword is added to a keyword group of an active campaign. Keywords in the Keyword Management area do not count towards your ranking credits. Paused campaigns do not count towards Keyword Credits.
Related to Keyword Credits are credit limit that can be set up for each campaign.
Competitor credits limit the number of unique competitors that can be added to an account. This affects features found in Site Rankings, Keyword Rankings, Site Ranking Comparison, Keyword Ranking Comparison.
Each competitor added to at least one active keyword group uses one competitor credit. The number of keyword groups a competitor is tracking in does not affect competitor credit cost, though competitors that have been added to the Competitor Management page but not assigned to a keyword group will not cost any competitor credits.
For example, if you add competitor A, competitor B, and competitor C to keyword group 1, competitor B and C to keyword group 2, but do not assign competitor D to any keyword groups, the total competitor credit cost will be 3 (one for competitor A + one for competitor B + one for competitor C + zero for competitor D). Even though competitors A and B are added to two keyword groups, they still only cost one credit apiece. Competitor D will not cost anything, since it's not tracking in any active keyword groups.
Each week, the Competitor Discovery and Competitor Discovery Trend feature will automatically discover the top 50 competitors for each keyword group and search engine. These competitors do not affect competitor credits until they are added to a keyword group.
Each page Dragon Metrics crawled for your campaign tracking URL will cost 1 Crawl Credits. You can assign a Crawl Limit to each campaign but the total number can't exceed the total number of Crawl Credits available for your account. If no Crawl Limits are set and there're only 10,000 crawl credits available, we will only crawl 10,000 URLs for all your campaigns. URLs blocked by the robots.txt file do not count towards this limit.
Each individual backlink that is returned in Link Manager and Link Research counts as one credit.
Since it cannot be known how many backlinks a report will return before it is run, Dragon Metrics allows users to limit the number of results returned by a report to give users more control over their credits. If a limit is specified, Dragon Metrics will not use more credits for the report than what the limit was set to.
Backlink credits are refreshed on the first of each month back to their original amount. This means that if an account runs out of backlink credits on the 20th of the month, they will need to wait until the first of the next month before they can run additional reports.
Backlink credits are not cumulative, so if you do not use all of your quota for the month, they do not "roll over" to the next month. Your account will only be replenished with the number of credits used that month.
Research Reports Credits
Research Reports determine the number of Baidu Domain / Keyword Research queries that can be run each day. Only the Research mode is affected by keyword research credits.
Each unique query made in Research mode counts as one credit. Multiple queries on the same domain or keyword will not be cost extra credit. For example, if you run query on keyword 1 or example.com then run another query for keyword 1 or example.com, the total credit cost will only be 1.
Research Report credits are refreshed daily at 12:00 am in Hong Kong timezone to their original amount, and are not cumulative.
Research Export Credits
Research Export Credits determine the number of rows of data can be exported to Excel from Research mode report each month. Only the Research mode is affected by Research Export Credits.
Research Export Credits are not cumulative, so if you do not use all of your quota for the month, they do not "roll over" to the next month. Your account will only be replenished with the number of credits used that month.
