If you integrate your Google Search Console account into Dragon Metrics, you'll be able to access Search Analytics data provided by Google Search Console directly in Dragon Metrics' user interface. If you are not sure about the Search Analytics report from Google Search Console, we'd recommend checking out the official documentation from Google to learn more.
Our Google Search Console Ranking report is basically an enhanced version of the original Search Analytics report from Google Search Console, here are the additional benefits:
- See up to 50,000 keywords your site is ranking for, Search Analytics only provide 1,000 keywords at maximum
- Unlimited ranking history, Search Analytics only provide up to the past 90 days
- Be able to compare side-by-side with Dragon Metrics’ ranking data
Now let's take a look at different elements in the report, and how you can modify the report to view different data.
On the top of the page, you can see a series of dropdown menus, which you can use to look at data base on different criteria:
Here you can choose the date range that you'd like to get data for. 2 things to keep in mind when you are picking different date ranges here:
- Past 90 days data will be available immediately after integration of Google Search Console and Dragon Metrics. (Given 90 days data are already available in Google Search Console)
- We will store your historical Search Analytics data in our database, so unlike Google Search Console, as long as you've an active campaign that are integrated to a Google Search Console account, historical data will always be available for you.
Here you can choose to get keyword data for all countries or only countries you are interested in looking at. The list of countries available to choose here will be based on which countries' search engines you are already tracking in the campaign. So if you are tracking Google US, UK and France in the campaign, you will be to choose All Countries, United States, United Kingdom and France in this dropdown menu. The easiest place to check and modify search engines your campaign is already checking will be in the Keyword Group page.
You can choose to view data from All Devices, Desktop, Mobile or Tablet here.
In the data table lower down the page, you can see a column with actual ranking data Dragon Metrics've collected, the data being displayed in that column will be based on your chosen search engine in this dropdown menu.
After you've selected data you want to view from all the dropdown menus, click on the Apply button to confirm your selected criteria and the page will be refreshed with the data you need.

2 extra options will be shown by clicking on the Upward Arrow Button:
Here you can choose to display all keywords or keywords you are tracking in Dragon Metrics. You can check and modify your list of tracked keywords at Keyword Management page.
With the Period dropdown you can choose whether clicks, impressions and CTR data for each keyword should be aggregated in daily, weekly or monthly basis.
Below the dropdown menus, you can see 4 callouts, summarizing all the data based on your selected criteria:
The number of time searchers click into your website've from Google organic search.
The total number of times searchers see your website get from Google organic search.
How likely searchers will click into your website when they see your website appearing in organic search, averaged based on all the keywords that've received impressions.
Ranking positions of your website when searchers see your pages in search results, based on ranking for all the keywords that've received impressions.

Below the callouts, you can see a chart showing the number of clicks and impressions your website received from Google organic search over time. Hover over each date here will show the exact amount of clicks and impressions for that day, week or month.
You can choose date range shown and how they should be grouped at the Date Range and Period dropdown menus at the top of the page.
Below the trend chart, you can see a few buttons and a table showing all the keywords we got from Google Search Console, along their number of clicks, impressions, CTR, positions etc.
The exact keyword that've received click or impression, you can choose to show only tracked keywords at the top of the page
The total number of times searcher clicked into your website when they search for the keyword
The total number of times searcher saw your website when they search for the keyword
When they are searching for the keyword, how often will searchers click into your website if they see your website
When they are searching for the keyword, the average ranking position of your website if searchers see it
If the keyword is being tracked by Dragon Metrics, the ranking your website based on your chosen search engine and end date of date range
On the right hand side above the table, you can see buttons for Excel export and View Options to toggle different column in the table on or off.
On the first column of the table, you can see there are check box for keyword that aren't being tracked in Dragon Metrics, by clicking on the check box here and click on the Add Keywords button above the table, you can add these keyword as tracked keywords in Dragon Metrics
