Link Manager automatically gathers, monitors and updates all the backlink data for your campaigns, the number of backlink we gather will be limited to your campaign settings and account limits. With these data you will be able to:
- Get backlink data from your campaigns with various link metrics and conduct in-depth backlink analysis
- Monitor changes of your backlink profile over time so you can track your performance over time and be informed if anything happens
- Export all links data to an Excel spreadsheet for further analyze or reporting
- Add links to Link Manager manually if you have extra link data that we can't provide
To get to the Link Manager, click on the Link Manager under the Links section of the left navigation menu:
Getting around Link Manager
Let's take a look at the interface of our Link Manager.
On the top of the page, there's a bar of callouts showing you the high level metrics about your backlink profile:
Domain authority - This is the Domain Authority for your own site.
Total links - The total number of backlinks within your backlink profile, with its change compared to last update
New links - The total number of new links we've discovered for your campaign compared to last update
Lost links - The total number of lost links we've discovered for your campaign compared to last update
Linking domains - The total number of domains linking to your domain, with its change compared to last update
Average link domain authority - The average domain authority of all linking domains, with its change compared to last update
Linking URLs - The total number of URLs linking to your domain, with its change compared to last update
Average link page authority - The average page authority of all linking pages, with its change compared to last update
Below the callouts bar you can see a series of charts visualizing status of your backlink profile:
Explanation of these charts:
Link Domain Authority - This chart shows the distribution of domain authority for all your linking domains
Link Page Authority - This chart shows the distribution of page authority for all your linking URLs
Link Health - Link Manager stores your link data over time and all the links are divided into 3 health categories, 1. OK - The link is still valid, 2. Link not found - The link is not valid anymore, because that link not longer exists on the linking page, 3. Page not found - The link is not valid anymore, because the link's target URL've returned a 4xx error
Linking TLDs - Distribution of linking Top Level Domains in your backlink profile, useful to determine which type of websites link to your site the most
Top Anchor Text - Distribution of anchor text being used among all the backlinks in your backlink profile, useful to determine most common anchor texts when other sites are linking to your site
Top Linking Domains - Distribution of linking root domains in your backlink profile, useful to determine which websites' link to your site the most
Top Target URLs - Distribution of target URLs in your backlink profile, useful when determining your most linked to pages
Link History - Trend chart showing you the total number of backlinks (green fill) and domain authority (blue line) of your website
Below the charts, you will see an expandable filter which allow you to use different statements to limit the backlink being shown in the table down below. Learn more about Backlink filters.
After the filter, there will be a table showing you all the detail about your backlinks. Other than looking through all the data available in the table, there are 4 extra things you can do:
Delete links - By selecting links in the table and clicking the button, you can delete any links you don't want to track with Link Manager
Export to Excel - All the backlinks and their respective data points can be exported to an Excel file with the button
View Options - By default only the most important data points are shown in the table, by selecting extra fields with the button, you will be able to see lot more data about each link. Learn more about link data points.
Add New Links - If you have external link data sources such as links from Google Search Console, Majestic or Ahrefs, you can manually add them to Link Manager and we will automatically track status of these links for your site. Learn more about adding links to Dragon Metrics
Link URL - Clicking onto the URL of each backlink will take you to the link detail page showing you even more data about this backlink. Learn more about Links Details here.
