We've made dozens of updates to the app today that focus on improving the user experience for customers.

This includes moving around some navigation and links that you may be used to, so let's take a look at a small number of the things that have changed.

New - Automatic API Access

Starting today, if your subscription plan comes with API access, your credentials are now easily accessible in the app. You no longer need to apply manually (hooray!)

Credentials can be found under Reporting > Developer API in the left navigation.

New - Links to Google Data Studio Connectors inside the app

Likewise, we've made it easier to start using the Google Data Studio connectors. This can be found under Reporting in the left navigation.

Here you can browse the available connectors and access links directly to them.

New user permissions

API Access

Previously, only the account owner had access to the API credentials. Now it's now possible to allow any user to access these credentials.

Please note, the user must have access to all campaigns for this to be available.

Managed users

Previously, a user with Manager permissions could only manage users that had access to the same campaigns they did.

We've added a new setting to allow the possibility of managers to manage any users in the account, regardless of campaign access.

Please note this is only available when Campaign Access is set to "Selected campaigns". If set to "All campaigns" then they will always be able to manage any other Standard or Read-only user in the account.

Campaign creation no longer required

Previously, Dragon Metrics required customers to create a campaign before doing anything else. This made sense before Research was available in the platform. Now with the dozens of reports and tools in Research, campaigns are not necessary for many of our customers, so we're now making them optional.

If you haven't created any campaigns, you'll just be greeted with quick links to either create a new campaign or jump directly into Research!

Custom Alerts and Recent Exports moved from User menu to Reporting menu

Previously, Custom Alerts and Recent Exports were both located in the user menu, when you clicked on your profile link in the upper right of every page.

These links have now been moved to the Reporting menu in the left navigation.

Scheduled Reports and One-Time Reports now share the same home

Previously, there were separate tabs for Scheduled Reports, One-Time Reports, and Archived reports.

These have now been combined into a single table.

You can filter to only show the report types you wish with the filter.

Whether you're creating a new Scheduled or One-time report, just click the Create new report button.

You'll be given a choice what type of report you want to create.

Sample Reports / Templates

Sample reports are now renamed templates. To create a new report form a template, choose it from the dropdown list in the Report Setup screen.
