Traffic modules retrieve data from multiple reports under Analytics in Dragon Metrics. Ranking modules can be added in a custom report to show the performance data from integrated Google Analytics of your campaign's site.

Available Ranking Modules

There are 27 ranking modules available to choose from under Traffic after clicking Add Module.

Accessing the setting of the module

Modules can be customized by clicking on the gear icon button located in the top bar of each module, as shown below:

Basics of customizing modules

Each module can be customized differently depends on its types and usages. However, there are a few options here that will almost always remain consistent:

Title

This is the display title for the reporting module which will be shown in the report. Check Hide title on report to hide the title in the report.

Date Range

The selected period for the data of the module. Check Hide date range on report to hide the date in the report.

Compare to

Compare to a previous range in the module. Once selected, the module will show comparison data between the module date range and the compare to date range.

Campaign

The selected campaign for the data of the module.

Period

Specify the data point to show in the chart of the module. For example, you can show a month of data with Daily data points.

Or with Weekly data points.

For longer ranges of data (i.e. 3 months, or years), you can consider using Monthly data points.

Segment

A filter for segments set up in your GA property.

Goals

A filter for goals(conversions) set up in your GA property.

Show

Check the sections/report elements to show within the module, or Uncheck to exclude them from the module. Different modules have different sections/report elements available to choose from.

All Traffic Overview

This module shows the summary and trend data for all site traffic, including Sessions, Conversions, Avg. Session Duration, and Bounce Rate.

It shows 2 sections by default and 1 section is available to select and include under Show of the module's setting:

  • The callouts of sessions, conversions, average session duration, and bounce rate

  • The chart showing the number of sessions and conversions

  • The table showing the detail of the traffic to the site (available to select under show in setting)

The module can be further customized by changing its setting:

  • Compare to: Select previous period, previous year, or custom range to compare traffic performance with. Once selected, the comparison of each callout and the conversion chart will be shown.

  • Period: This controls the data points on the chart. By default, it shows data for each day. Weekly and Monthly are available to choose from.

Traffic Channels

This module shows the summary and trend data for all site traffic, grouped by channel (Organic / Paid / Referral / Direct / Social / etc.) It Includes Sessions, Conversions, Avg. Session Duration, and Bounce Rate.

There are 6 sections shown by default (You can customize and choose which one to include under Show of the module's setting):

  • Callouts

  • The callouts of Sessions, Conversions, Average Session Duration, and Bounce Rate

  • The table showing the data for each landing page

The module can be further customized by changing its setting:

  • Compare to: Select previous period, previous year, or custom range to compare traffic performance with. Once selected, the comparison of each callout and table data will be shown.

This module shows organic sessions and conversions for each landing page, with all keywords ranking for this URL shown alongside their monthly search volume and organic ranking. It gets back "(not provided)" keyword data by comparing traffic, monthly search volume, and ranking for each keyword.

The module can be further customized by changing its setting:

  • Compare to: Select previous period, previous year, or custom range to compare traffic performance with. Once selected, the comparison of each callout and table data will be shown.

  • Period: This controls the data points on the chart. By default, it shows data for each day. Weekly and Monthly are available to choose from.

This module shows organic keyword ranking, traffic, and search volumes for a custom set of user-defined URLs.

It shows 2 sections by default (You can customize and choose which one to include under Show of the module's setting):

  • The callouts of sessions, conversions, average session duration, and bounce rate.

  • The table showing the URL, targeted keywords, sessions, monthly search volume, and ranking.

The module can be further customized by changing its setting:

  • Compare to: Select previous period, previous year, or custom range to compare traffic performance with. Once selected, the comparison of each callout and the table data will be shown.

  • Trend: Choose from the most recent 2 to 12 periods to include the trend data in the table. If "None" is selected, the Session trend and Conversions trend columns will be completely hidden.

  • Segment: A filter for segments set up in your GA property.

  • Goals: A filter for goals(conversions) set up in your GA property.

  • Maximum keywords per URL: Defines the maximum number of keywords to show for each URL, sorted by the highest-ranking position.

  • Include keyword ranking: By default, the module includes the ranking for each keyword. Select No to exclude keyword ranking.

  • Search Engine: Choose which search engines to be included in the data calculation of this module

  • Callouts: Select a maximum of 4 from Sessions, Conversions, Average Session Duration, Pages per Session, Revenue, Transactions, Quantity, and Ecommerce Conversion Rate.

  • Table Columns: Toggle which data columns to be shown in the table.

  • Targeted URLs: Enter a custom set of URLs (separated by each line). The module will show the data of the URLs you enter into this field.

  • Targeted Keywords Only: Select Yes to only include target keywords entered for each URL.

  • Show: Choose to include Callouts, and/or Table in the module.

Paid Traffic Overview

This module shows the summary and trend data for paid search traffic. It includes Sessions, Conversions, Avg. Session Duration, Bounce Rate, and Pages per Session.
