Link modules retrieve data from multiple reports under Links in Dragon Metrics. Links modules can be added in a custom report to show the backlinks performance of your campaign's site, such as like anchor texts, linking domains, target URLs, TLDs, Page Authority, Domain Authority, etc.

Available Links Modules

There are 8 links modules available to choose from under Links after clicking Add Module.

Accessing the setting of the module

Modules can be customized by clicking on the gear icon button located in the top bar of each module, as shown below:

Basics of customizing modules

Each module can be customized differently depends on its types and usages. However, there are a few options here that will almost always remain consistent:

Title

This is the display title for the reporting module which will be shown in the report. Check Hide title on report to hide the title in the report.

Date Range

The selected period for the data of the module. Check Hide date range on report to hide the date in the report.

Campaign

The selected campaign for the data of the module.

Report Elements

Check the sections/report elements to show within the module, or Uncheck to exclude them from the module. Different modules have different sections/report elements available to choose from.

Link Overview

This module shows a high-level summary of a site's backlink profile.

It shows 13 report elements by default (you can choose what to show under report elements in setting):

  • The callouts of Domain Authority, Page Authority, Linking Domains, Linking Pages, and Dofollow Pages

  • Domain Authority trend

  • Page Authority trend

  • Linking domains trend

  • Linking pages trend

  • New / lost linking domains

  • New/ lost linking pages

  • Linking domain authority

  • Linking domains spam score

  • Top anchor texts

  • Top linking domains

  • Top linking pages

  • Top pages on this site

The module can be further customized by changing its setting:

  • Chart Date Range: By default, all the charts in the module show data within the most recent 32 months. You can choose to show the most recent 60 days instead.

  • Callouts: Choose from Domain Authority, Page Authority, Linking Domains, Linking Pages, and Dofollow Pages to show in the callouts.

  • Report Elements: Choose from 13 elements and decide what to show inside the module.

Top Links

This module shows the top linking URLs to your site, sorted by Page Authority.

It shows 2 report elements by default (you can choose what to show under report elements in setting):

  • The callouts of Domain Authority, Page Authority, Linking Domains, Linking Pages, and Dofollow Pages

  • The table showing the detail of each linking URL

The module can be further customized by changing its setting:

  • Callouts: Choose from Domain Authority, Page Authority, Linking Domains, Linking Pages, and Dofollow Pages to show in the callouts

  • Link Type: It includes all link types by default. You can choose to only show specific types such as dofollow, nofollow, etc.

  • Link Health: It shows Active by default. You can choose to include All or Lost links only.

  • Limit: It shows One link per root domain by default. You can choose to show one link per subdomain or None to show all links.

  • Table Columns: Choose what columns to be included in the linking URL table

  • Row Limit: Select to show 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, and up to 500 rows in the table.

  • Sort: This decides how the links in the table will be sorted. By default, the table sorts the links by Page Authority.

  • Report elements: Choose from 2 elements and decide what to show inside the module.

Linking Domains

This module shows the top linking domains to your site sorted by Domain Authority.

It shows 2 report elements by default (you can choose what to show under report elements in setting):

  • The callouts of Domain Authority, Page Authority, Linking Domains, Linking Pages, and Dofollow Pages

  • The table showing the detail of each linking domain

The module can be further customized by changing its setting:

  • Callouts: Choose from Domain Authority, Page Authority, Linking Domains, Linking Pages, and Dofollow Pages to show in the callouts

  • Link Type: It includes all link types by default. You can choose to only show specific types such as dofollow, nofollow, etc.

  • Link Health: It shows Active by default. You can choose to include All or Lost links only.

  • Table Columns: Choose what columns to be included in the linking URL table

  • Row Limit: Select to show 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, and up to 500 rows in the table.

  • Sort: This decides how the links in the table will be sorted. By default, the table sorts the links by Domain Authority.

Anchor Text

This module shows the distribution of the most popular anchor texts used in links to your site.

It shows 3 report elements by default (you can choose what to show under report elements in setting):

  • The callouts of Domain Authority, Page Authority, Linking Domains, Linking Pages, and Dofollow Pages

  • The chart of each anchor text and the number of times they have been used

  • The table showing the detail of each linking domain

The module can be further customized by changing its setting:

  • Callouts: Choose from Domain Authority, Page Authority, Linking Domains, Linking Pages, and Dofollow Pages to show in the callouts

  • Table Columns: Choose what columns to be included in the anchor text table

  • Row Limit: Select to show 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, and up to 500 rows in the table.

  • Report elements: Choose from 3 elements and decide what to show inside the module.

Top Pages

This module shows URLs on the site with the best top backlink profiles as determined by Page Authority.

It shows 2 report elements by default (you can choose what to show under report elements in setting):

  • The callouts of Domain Authority, Page Authority, Linking Domains, Linking Pages, and Dofollow Pages

  • The table showing the detail of each URL that has the best top backlink profiles

The module can be further customized by changing its setting:

  • Callouts: Choose from Domain Authority, Page Authority, Linking Domains, Linking Pages, and Dofollow Pages to show in the callouts

  • HTTP status: By default, the module shows URLs with All HTTP status. 200, 301, 302, 4xx, 5xx are available to choose from.

  • Table Columns: Choose what columns to be included in the anchor text table

  • Row Limit: Select to show 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, and up to 500 rows in the table

  • Sort: This decides how the links in the table will be sorted. By default, the table sorts the links by Page Authority

  • Report elements: Choose from 2 elements and decide what to show inside the module

New Links

This module shows the most recently discovered links to the site.

It shows 3 report elements by default (you can choose what to show under report elements in setting):

  • The callouts of new linking pages, lost linking pages, and new linking pages.

  • The chart showing the new links and lost links over the selected date range

  • The table showing the detail of the most recently discovered links to the site.

The module can be further customized by changing its setting:

  • Metrics: The module can show the data either based on linking pages or linking domains

  • Table Columns: Choose what columns to be included in the anchor text table

  • Row Limit: Select to show 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, and up to 500 rows in the table

  • Report elements: Choose from 3 elements and decide what to show inside the module

Lost Links

This module shows the most recently discovered lost links to the site.

It shows 3 report elements by default (you can choose what to show under report elements in setting):

  • The callouts of new linking pages, lost linking pages, and new linking pages.

  • The chart showing the new links and lost links over the selected date range.

  • The table showing the detail of the most recently discovered lost links to the site.

The module can be further customized by changing its setting:

  • Metrics: The module can show the data either based on linking pages or linking domains

  • Table Columns: Choose what columns to be included in the anchor text table

  • Row Limit: Select to show 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, and up to 500 rows in the table

  • Report elements: Choose from 3 elements and decide what to show inside the module

Link Competition

This module compares the link profiles against competitors.

It shows 2 report elements by default (you can choose what to show under report elements in setting):

  • The chart showing the link metrics of your campaign's site and competitor sites.

  • The table showing the link profiles of your campaign's site and competitor sites.

The module can be further customized by changing its setting:

  • Competitors: Choose a maximum of 5 competitors to include in the module.

  • Chart Metric: By default, it shows domain authority in the module, You can select to show page authority, linking domains, or linking pages.

  • Chart Type: By default, it shows a summary chart. You can switch it to a trend chart.

  • Table Metrics: Choose what columns to be included in the table.

  • Report Elements: Choose from 2 elements and decide what to show inside the module.
