The Organic Keyword Ranking report provides all the ranking keywords Dragon Metrics can find for a site. It is the best place to check the details of ranking keywords for any site.

Accessing Organic Keyword Ranking report

You can access the Organic Keyword Ranking report after you have conducted ranking research, and then select Organic Keywords in the top navigation. You can also use this navigation to access other report pages.

Or you can click view all next to Top Ranking Keywords on the Organic Ranking Overview page.

Alternatively, if you've entered a subdomain, subfolder, or URL in ranking research, you will go directly to the report page.

High-level metrics

On the top of this page, you can see the domain name you've entered for research with its favicon next to it.

  • Positions: The total number of positions on the search engine results page occupied by this domain. This number may be different from Keywords, as one domain could have multiple URLs ranking for the same keyword.

  • Traffic Index: The estimated amount of monthly organic traffic sent to this site from Google in your selected country, based on keywords tracked in our database.

Top Ranking Keywords

This table shows the top keywords estimated to bring the most traffic to the site.

  • Keyword: The keyword this domain ranks for in the top ten pages on Google in your selected country.

  • Monthly Search Volume: The number of exact match monthly searches for this keyword on Google in the selected country.

  • Position: The organic ranking position of the keyword.

  • Traffic Index: The estimated amount of monthly organic traffic sent to this site from Google in your selected country, based on keywords tracked in our database.

  • Ranking URL: The URL from this domain that is ranking for this keyword.

  • SERP Features: A list of all rich results found on the SERP for this keyword (regardless of which site is ranking for them). Learn more about SERP Features.

To get more information on a keyword (e.g. SERP results, related keywords, organic difficulty, etc.) click the keyword to begin a new keyword research query. Learn more about keyword research

To see all of the other keywords a URL is ranking for, click the site in the Ranking URL column to run a new ranking research query for this page.

Hover on the icon to view the name of the SERP Feature found for this keyword.

Additional columns

Click the View options button in the upper right of the table to show or hide additional columns.

The following columns are also available, but hidden by default:

  • Paid Competition: Score from 0-100% provided by Google Ads showing how competitive ad placement is for the keyword, relative to all keywords across Google. Keywords without enough data may be shown as 0%.

  • Results: The total number of potential SERP results shown for the keyword on Google.

  • Title: The linked headline for this result. It is usually the title tag of the page.

  • Snippet: The text description under the link for this result is shown on the search results page. It is usually the meta description tag of the page.


You can filter keywords by any field. Choose which field you'd like to filter by and set its value.

You can add additional filters by clicking + next to the field. You can add up to 6 different keyword filters to narrow down the keyword list.

Exporting Data

Click the Export to Excel button in the upper right of the report to download the data for this domain.

You can choose the number of rows (ranking keywords) to include in this report. Each row exported will consume 1 research credit. You can export up to the maximum number of keywords available for this report, the amount of research credits remaining in your account, or the maximum number of rows available for your plan (whichever is less).
