People Also Ask is a type of rich results found on Google SERPs that contain common questions searches have related to the searched query. Clicking on a question reveals an answer snippet and link to the containing website.

Dragon Metrics collects and stores the content in all People Also Ask boxes found on SERPs collected for tracked keywords in campaigns.

The People Also Ask report shows all of these questions collected for this campaign in one place to help identify potential new opportunities. Each question represents a potential content topic idea or keyword.

Note: People Also Ask report is only available for Google.

Getting Started

To get started, navigate to People Also Ask under Content in the left navigation.

Table

Each People Also Ask question found on the SERP is shown as a row in the table.

The Question and Answer columns display the content found in the People Also Ask box.

For each question, the number of times people search for this query is displayed in the Monthly Search Volume field. The keyword this query appeared on the SERP for is found in the Shown for keywords column.

By default, the answer field is truncated. Click the arrow to expand and view the entire answer.

Click the arrow again to collapse the answer.

Exporting Data

Click the Export to Excel button in the upper right of the table to download the list of questions and their search volumes.

Adding Keywords

You can add any of the questions to the campaign to track this keyword's ranking by checking the box and clicking the Add questions as keywords button at the top of the table.

Filter by Search Engine

Use the Search Engine filter to show only questions found on a specific country, language, location, or device.

Filter by Tags

Tags are one of the most powerful ways to segment your keywords. In this report, you can filter by one or more tags to only see questions that appear for keywords in specific segments.

If multiple tags are selected, you can choose how keywords are chosen for inclusion on the report.

If Include any is selected, keywords that include any of the selected tags will be included.

If Include all is selected, only keywords that include all of the selected tags will be included.

You can even build more complex queries by adding another Tag filter. Just click +more

An additional Tag filter will now be available (joined with boolean AND logic).

For example, to view keywords that tagged as non-brand and either high or medium search volume, you could use the following filter:
