High-level metrics

At the top of the page, a high-level summary of link's data is shown.

  • Domain Authority: Provided by Moz, this is a score out of a total possible 100 predicting how well this domain will perform in search engine rankings, based primarily on the strength of the domain's backlink profile.

  • Page Authority: Similar to Domain Authority, this score predicts how well this page will perform in search engine rankings, based primarily on the strength of the URL's backlink profile.

  • Linking Domains: Number of domains that have at least 1 URL linking to this site.

  • Linking Pages: Number of URLs on external sites that have one or more links to this site.

  • Dofollow Pages: Number of pages that link to this site without the nofollow attribute, indicating the links will pass authority.

You can also see how each metric has changed in the last 60 days.

New / Lost Charts

These charts show the number of linking URLs or linking domains were either discovered for the first time or removed during each period.

The green bar represents the number of new domains/pages, while red bar indicates the lost domains/pages. Hover on each date for more details.

Linking Domain Authority

Displays the number of linking domains from each set of Domain Authority. More links from sites with higher Domain Authority means a better backlink profile, but most sites (even those with very high authority) will see a declining number of links for each set of increasing Domain Authority.

Clicking on the chart title will take you to the Linking Domains report.

Linking Domains Spam Score

This chart shows the number of linking domains from each set of Spam Score, which represents the likelihood of a site being penalized by Google. A lower spam score (1-30%) means the site is unlikely to be penalized, while a high Spam Score means it's very likely to be penalized.

Even for high authority sites, it's not uncommon to have links from sites with high Spam Scores, and there's nothing wrong with this. The important thing is the percentage and distribution of links from high Spam Score. Sites with a high percentage of links from high Spam Score sites may be in danger of penalties.

A desirable distribution will look similar to the example below, with less links from each increasing set of Spam Score.

Clicking on the chart title will take you to the Spam Links report.

Top Anchor Texts

This chart shows the distribution of anchor texts found in inbound external links to this site. Generally speaking, anchor texts containing targeted keywords are preferable to branded terms or generic text (e.g. "click here"), though it is very natural and common for sites to have a high number of these less-desired anchor texts.
