Import from file

If you have a long list of keywords or wish to include additional keyword details such as Tags, Preferred Landing Page, or Translation, we recommend adding keywords by file.

There are two options to choose from:

Option 1: Track all keywords in the file in the same search engines

When this option is selected, you will first choose which search engines all keywords in the file will be tracking.

(If you need to track different keywords on different search engines, you'll need to repeat this process with different files for each set of search engines)

Once you've chosen your search engines, download the Excel template

Open the Excel template, remove the example keywords and add your own. The only required field is Keyword, others may be omitted. Learn more about optional keyword fields

When finished adding keywords, save the file, click Upload new keywords, and select the file.

Keywords will be added, and you will have a chance to look verify the import results. You can click any fields to make additional edits, or click Close to finish.

Option 2: Specify which search engines each keyword should be tracking in the file

With this option selected, instead of choosing the search engines for all keywords in the file, you will be able to specify the search engine for each keyword separately in the file.

Open the Excel template, remove the example keywords and add your own. The only required fields are Keyword and Search Engine, while others may be omitted.

For the search engines column, you'll need to use the a list of search engine IDs separated by a comma. Learn more about keyword fields and how to find search engine IDs
