Dragon Metrics can keep track of any websites' ranking just like your site once you've added them as competitors, within the Ranking section you can view any competitor's ranking performance one at a time, in both Site level and Keyword level:

Site Ranking Performance - Allow you to view your competitors' site ranking performance just like your own

Keyword Ranking Performance - Get a list of keywords with their individual keyword ranking performance for any of your competitor

Search Engine Ranking - Compare competitors' ranking in different search engines

Keyword Group Ranking - Analyze competitors' ranking in different keyword group

Tag Ranking - Analyze competitors' ranking in different tagged keywords

Landing Page Ranking - Analyze competitors' page level ranking performance

To view competitors' ranking within the ranking section, go to the Site Ranking or Keyword Ranking page and click on the arrow button to expand the filter:

After that, you can simply choose the competitor you'd like to look at from the Site drop down menu, and click Apply:

After that the page will be refreshed with only ranking data about the site you've chosen.

If you can't find the site you are looking for in the drop down menu, you might not have added them as a competitor yet. Learn how to add competitors.

The method above allows you to view rankings for one competitor and if you want to compare competitors' rankings, there are several other tools to do so within the Competitor Section:

Competitor Discovery - View a comparison of the top competitors we've found automatically within your tracked keywords, and add them to a tracked competitor

Competitor Discovery Trend - View a comparison of the top competitors we've found automatically within your tracked keywords over time, and add them to a tracked competitor

Competitor Site Ranking - Compare site level ranking performance of your site with all your competitors

Competitor Keyword Ranking - Compare individual keyword level ranking performance of your site with all your competitors

All these tools serve different purposes in your competitive analysis efforts:

  • If you're not sure which websites are your biggest competitors in SEO, you should use the Competitor Discovery or Competitor Discovery Trend to analyze
  • If you already know which competitors to monitor and target you should add them as your tracked competitors and use Site Ranking Performance or Keyword Ranking Performance to perform in depth analysis to competitors websites' ranking as discussed in this article.
  • If you want to report on your site performance compared to your target competitors, you should go to Competitor Site Ranking or Competitor Keyword Ranking to get different performance metrics about your site compared to your competitors'.
